If you’re organising your golfing holiday with a group of friends or family, the beautiful Chateau de Dohem, sleeping up to 12 in six bedrooms, is ideally located within less than an hours travelling distance of some of Northern Frances top golf courses.
Once home in the evenings, you can relax and enjoy the facilities which include outdoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi spa, steam room, fully fitted gymnasium and games room with pool table.

Aa Saint-Omer Golf Club
Overlooking the beautiful valley of Aa. This course has been selected by the European Tour, and each year it hosts the Aa Saint-Omer OPEN in June. The Aa Saint-Omer is 14.8km approx 20 minutes drive from the Chateau so perfectly located if you want to attend the Open as a spectator.
The Aa has several courses
Les Aubepines – a nine-hole course, Par 31, 1,710 metres. Ideal for beginners and those wishing to improve their short game.
La Haute Dreve – Par 31 and 2038 metres
Le Val – Par 73 18-hole If you are keen to take up the challenge of the course that hosts France’s second largest tournament, there is nothing to stop you. A stunning site with magnificent panoramic views of the Aa Valley that will delight any golfer.
The Aa Saint-Omer golf club also has a panoramic restaurant open to all, Le Ristandel.
Golf du Touquet
offers three courses and is set in a stunning environment between dunes and forest. Le Touquet Golf Course is one of Europe’s most beautiful golf courses, ranked in 2015 among the 100 most beautiful courses in continental Europe by Golf World. The conditions are perfect for both beginners and the more experienced. Golf du Touquet is 50km drive from the Chateau, approximately 54 minutes by car.
La Foret – Par 71 Inaugurated in 1904, this course is beautifully set within the pine forest at LeTouquet. Sheltered from the wind, players of all levels will find this course most pleasurable and relaxing.
La Mer – Par 72 This Scottish-style links course, which opened in 1931 has been selected several times for Majors. Its course lies among the wild dunes, exposed to the Channel winds.
Le Manoir – Par 35 This course is ideal for learning or improving golf, giving players opportunity to experience various golfing situations and difficulties.
Dunkerque Grand Littoral Golf Course
with its 27 unique holes, is original and and exceptional, located in the heart of Europe. An incomparable course to be discovered and to play with passion. Just 60km approx 1hr drive from the Chateau.

Le Fort-Vallieres – Par 35
Golfers of all levels will find tees of exceptional size, wide fairways with gentle curves but made formidable by the presence of ditches and water, with their nine ‘fortified’ holes whose geometry evokes the architecture of the celebrated Vauban. Each player will direct his drive and approach through bastions, curtains and artillery towers over a character golf couse which cannot fail to move. Over the course you will be treated to surprising views over the tours and belfries of Flanders.

Hardelot has an excellent reputation in the golfing world. With two courses created at the beginning of the last century, Hardelot represents the very essence of golf. Hardelot Golf Course is 49km approx 48 minutes drive from the Chateau.

Les Pins – Par 73 Designed in 1930 by Tom Simpson is one of the most beautiful and technical in Europe. Set within a forest environment, it has hosted the National Omnium, The French Professional Championship and the Nations Cup.
Les Dunes – Par 72s Les Dunes golf course, designed by Paul Rolin and Jean-Claude Cornillot, offers great variety enhanced by its gentle slopes. In several places, the views are particularly spectacular, providing the golfer with unforgettable sights.
Golf de Belle Dune
at the heart of la Baie de Somme. Nestled in the heart of the most beautiful sandbank dunes of Europe, near the seafront, Golf de Belle Dune is a premium golf destination and is just 66km approx 1 hours drive from the Chateau.
Inspired by the traditional Irish and Scottish links, its greens seem to melt into the landscape. Here, the protection of the natural environment is a principle: an exemplary maintenance during the whole year ensures the respect of the ecosystem.
Around the 18-hole course you will come across maritime pines, pass pale dunes planted with marram grass, and perhaps encounter a roe deer or pheasant, while benefiting as much from the beauty of the site as from the technical challenge of the course, a quality recognised by seasoned players.
A Scottish-style Links Course, located 54km from the Chateau, approximately 50 minutes drive. The 18 hole Wimereux golf course was created in 1901, was rebuilt by two British architects, Campbell and Hutchinson, after the First World War.
The course has hosted great international events with players considering this to be one of the best links courses across the Channel. It is a Scottish-style links course located by the sea, retaining its wild character. Its undulating course, the wide fairways and excellent quality greens satisfy the most demanding of players.
5km from Calais and a few kilometres from the A16 motorway, the course stretches between the sea, the Boulogne countryside and Ambleteuse dunes.
Five minutes from the town centre, at the heart of the Scarpe Valley, in an exceptional environment punctuated by rivers, ponds and hills, Arras golf course offers one of the most beautiful golf complexes in northern France. Golf d’Arras is 74km from the Chateau and via the A26 takes approximately 50 minutes.
Arras offers a 9 hole and an 18 hole course
La Vallée course is a championship course of 6,117 metres, par 72, with a very varied and technical layout. For ten years it has hosted the Ladies French Open, the French stage of the Ladies European Tour. It represents a real challenge accessible to all golfers.
Les Aubepines – Par 31, 9 hole course, 1710 metres long is perfectly adapted to beginners and to golf improvers.
Golf de Nampont Saint-Martin
Just 56km from the Chateau, approx 50 minutes by car, you will discover a true monument to nature. The Cygnes course will delight you with the magic of its water features. Offers two 18 hole golf courses
La Cygnes – Par 72 Les Cygnes course is located in an exceptional natural setting for professionals and lovers of the game of golf. It crosses magnificent landscapes around the chateau and banks of the Authie River. It is an excellent course, loved by the British. The water features tend to make the game unpredictable but the fairways are wide and the greens extensive. Swans, herons, ducks and many species of birds accompany you as you play.
La Belvedere – Par 70 Magnificently designed and at the heart of the forest on plateaux overlooking the beautiful Authie valley, Le Belvédère course is surprising in the variety of its layout and its surprising differences in altitude. The views and landscapes are unexpected. It is an excellent course for average players and some long par 4 holes will satisfy good players.
Parc de Loisirs d’Olhain
Parc de Loisirs d’Olhain is situated 46 minutes from Chateau de Dohem

Golf & Countryclub De Palingbeek
Golf & Countryclub De Palingbeek is situated 1hr 16 minutes from Chateau de Dohem
Golf & Countryclub De Palingbeek has a very well maintained 18-hole course and 4 hole practise course. With driving range and chipping green Palingbeek is one of Belgiums top courses and with it’s stunning views and incredible greens its no wonder why.
On the edge of the Somme Bay, Abbeville golf course offers you a varied 18 hole course which links the technicality of the game, with the pleasure of a walk in the fresh air.
Le Val – Par 72 the course offers a balance between holes on the plateau and holes sloping downwards, upwards and overhanging. The golf course is 71km from the Chateau which is approximately one hour by car.
Golf du Sart
Golf du Sart is situated 1 hr 12 minutes from Chateau de Dohem
Golf du Sart is situated in the Ancient Forest, giving incredible views across it’s 18-hole course. It’s grounds are extremely well maintained, however it’s sloping fairways and tricky twists and turns will test your golfing expertise.
With putting green, driving range and exceptional restaurant, Golf du Sart is always a great experience for every golfer.
GOLF IN BELGIUM
For those that don’t mind a slightly longer drive, we cannot leave out the fabulous 18 hole Royal Ostend Golf Club in Belgium. It’s approximately 130km from the Chateau which by car takes about 1hr 38 minute drive on the fastest route via the E40, but it is a superb course to play.
Koksijde Golf ter Hille
Koksijde Golf ter Hille is situated 1 hr 16 minutes from Chateau de Dohem
Koksijde Golf ter Hille has a 18-hole course, 9-hole course, par 32 academy course of just under 2,000m, with a thirty bay driving range, chipping zone, putting green and full size croquet lawn.
Highly maintained and perfect for every level of golfer it’s no surprise Koksijde Golf ter Hille got the 2017 Golfer’s Choice Award.
Royal Ostend Golf Club
Founded in 1903 and stretches out in the dunes in the middle of the Belgian coastline. As the only links in Belgium, it provides a challenging and technical golf course, as well as outstanding views over the sea and the dunes. When the wind is blowing across the narrow fairways, the course challenges one’s skill and concentration.
